For many years, Dr. Vos’ emphasis has been on how to accelerate self-learning ability and the unlimited potential of the human brain. Her coauthored book, The Learning Revolution, became an international best seller. The sequel, Unlimited, emphasized how the incredible powers of the human brain can now link with the marvels of the instant communications. It means we now have the capacity to access information more quickly, at any time, anywhere, in the world. Despite this incredible access to information, there is a vital piece missing in most schools and families today – this missing piece is nutrition.
Most parents pay more attention to their finances, than their family’s diet. Schools may teach children how to eat healthy but don’t model it. Junk food has become an addiction for most children (and adults), while taxpayers pay a hefty price to subsidize the growing sickness industry. In all this, despite extensive research that proves nutrition can increase the young brain’s ability to learn and study, we ignore the fact that what a child eats and drinks also affects their thinking—not just their physical health.
Hence, Jeannette’s efforts have moved towards helping teachers and parents see how everything and everyone is connected to the laws of nature and the spiritual law of reaping what we sow. To put it simply: If we eat junk food, there are consequences. Diseases are related to our lifestyles. Research now proves that proper nutrition can alter a child’s ability to learn, study with ease and have a healthy life. Physical and mental disease and illness are directly related to lifestyle, and what we consume.
Jeannette hopes this book creates more mindful choices in parent, teachers and children of all ages. May your children see the beauty of nature’s garden—the blueprint has been there since creation!
